STRIPOUT LONDON LTD HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT

Stripout London Ltd (hereafter ‘SL’) regards the promotion of health, safety and welfare at work as a mutual objective for management, employees and third parties at all levels. It is, therefore, SL policy to do all that is reasonable and practicable to prevent personal injury, to protect everyone from foreseeable work hazards, including the public in so far as they come into contact with its premises/undertakings and to prevent damage to property. This document is a corporate policy for SL and is in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.

 

SL, so far as is reasonably practicable:

 

  • provides adequate resources for health and safety;

  • assesses the risks to the health, safety and welfare of employees and visitors whilst they are on its premises and maintains a record of its findings;

  • provides and maintains safe and healthy working conditions, including means of access and egress;

  • provides information, operational policies and procedures, training, instruction and supervision to enable employees to perform their work safely and efficiently;

  • makes available all necessary safety devices and protective equipment and provides instruction in their use;

  • provides adequate welfare facilities;

  • aims to continually improve its health and safety compliance, consulting and involving employees or their representatives wherever possible;

  • monitors the application of SL policies and procedures.

 

All SL employees have a duty while at work:

 

  • to take reasonable care for the health and safety and welfare of themselves and of all other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions;

  • to co-operate with SL in ensuring all statutory and other requirements are complied with;

  • to observe the provisions of this safety policy and other policies, procedures etc. relating to health, safety and welfare;

  • to not intentionally interfere with or misuse anything provided for their health, safety or welfare.


Our Commitment


We are committed to meeting and, where possible, exceeding the minimum requirements of the law and to provide sufficient resources to meet all health and safety commitments. This policy including the arrangements and Risk Assessment will be reviewed at least annually or in response to any changes which could impact on health and safety.

In fulfilling our health and safety responsibilities we will:


  • Provide adequate resources to ensure competent guidance, including information, instruction, training and supervision on health and safety to all workers;

  • Provide a safe and healthy environment for all workers and anyone visiting our premises;

  • Provide and maintain plant, equipment and systems of work that are, so far as reasonably practicable, safe and without risk to health;

  • Maintain our workplace in a condition so far as reasonably practicable, safe and without risk to health;

  • Maintains proper measures for fire protection and fire fighting, and systems of evacuation in an emergency;

  • Ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safe use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances where necessary;

  • Complete periodic risk assessments and inspections and will review controls in place;

  • Establish and observe safe operating procedures to protect workers and promote safe working;

  • Take appropriate action in response to any near-misses or accidents including reporting under RIDDOR if required.
