WHITECHAPEL BUILDING

The Whitechapel building was a very large contract in the City of London consisting of 3 basement levels.

We facilitated the removal of numerous passenger and goods lifts, weights and running gear.  The removal of large escalators and a huge volume of mechanical and electrical (M&E) strip out.

This included the complete electrical strip out of entire floors, underfloor services, high level services, risers and electrical cupboards.

The complete strip out of numerous plant rooms.  Boiler removals, generator removals, fuel tank removals, HVAC and ductwork strip out, mechanical services strip out and networking / computer room strip out.

Following the soft strip out, deconstruction and removal of all lightweight partitioning, ceilings, floor finishes, bathrooms, WC's, balustrades and kitchens we undertook a heavy demolition in multiple areas.

The heavy demolition consisted of very thick brickwork and block work walls, reinforced concrete areas and floors to facilitate the clients requirements.

As all the work was located in the basement levels, this was a particularly challenging project with a short programme.  With innovation, skill and careful planning we were able to meet our clients deadlines on time and on budget.
